A Custom Level Editor + Ghost Recon Breakpoint (Concept) Posted: 03 Nov 2020 11:03 AM PST Something I have consistently seen suggested here in the Reddit is a custom mission maker for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. So, after considering how such would work, I decided to make a post sharing my idea, with an example of how this could play out at the very end. Inspired by the custom level-maker of Far Cry 4, here we go. 1: Access The level editor would be accessible from the "Special Operations" section of the Objectives Board or within Erewhon (more on that later). Under the name "Black Operations" or something similar, Gear Score would NOT be required in order to play these. There would be options to play solo (with or without AI friends) or in co-op, either in a queue or with a pre-made team. There would be three options right away: Play Solo, Play Co-op, and Create. This could perhaps be available from the start, or maybe after completion of Operation Greenstone to provide an "End-Game" experience. 2: Implementation As said in part 1, it would potentially be named "Black Operations" and be accessible in Erewhon. Either through a new CIA handler in the same role Bowman played in Wildlands, or perhaps someone already on the Island. Maybe even make it Victor Coste and make it available after the first mission of Deep State, since that's free for all players. Or not: CIA Agent works fine, perhaps even better. Simply put, these are Black Operations at their finest: officially, they never happened. There are more islands out there, connected to Auroa, that Sentinel and the Wolves were branching out onto. Projects and bases that were kept secret even from Skell. This would allow for deniability from canon, while still allowing complete freedom for mission creators to design their own settings and objectives. 3: Functionality Within the creator, players would have access to a wide variety of tools, being able to use assets from Breakpoint to set up terrain and buildings however they want. Even weather and time of day can be determined. Life-wise, they would be able to place and arrange enemies, civilians, and Outcasts, and set patrol paths for each of them. From an Objective standpoint, creators would be able to set win conditions and fail conditions. There are many different objects that can be interacted with in Breakpoint. NPCs, computers, cable boxes, paper documents...Anything you can interact with in the base game would be available to be placed and set as objectives in Black Operations. Perhaps you need to find intel deep within an enemy compound? Perhaps you need to rescue a valuable Outcast VIP? Maybe you need to purge the base of all Sentinel Presence? Maybe a combination of these things! The possibilities are many. 4: Example You and the lads get together to play some Breakpoint. After grinding out Behemoth Defense Areas, you decide to go looking through the Black Operations for something new. Luckily, there's a hot new mission available, but it's limited to Solo-play with no AI teammates. You've already played some CO-OP, so you and the lads decide to split up and try it out individually. The pre-mission brief explains that you're being deployed to a mountain-base on an island that was deemed too inhospitable with not enough resources to make it worth Skell-tech taming. That didn't stop Sentinel from building there. Nobody knows what exactly Trey Stone was up to, or if it's important to Wonderland, so Nomad is being sent in to infiltrate the base and learn what they can. You spawn in a snowy mountain-pass in high altitude. There's a Bivouac there so that you can kit yourself out appropriately, and there's a few plants nearby so you can craft yourself some basic items if you require them. You do so, choosing weapons and buffs, before setting out. A blizzard causes enough white-out to cover your approach, and there are options right away. A large front entrance built into the side of the mountain has access ladders at the supports for maintenance. However, there is also an old waste tunnel that, while snowed in, looks like there's a gap wide enough to crawl through a little ways down the mountain. Of course, you could always try scaling the cliffs to get a better view of the summit, see if there's roof access you could base-jump towards. You activate your hud and check the objectives again: hack into the closed network and copy all relevant information, without being detected or alerting the base: such would cause mission failure and restart. You eventually make up your mind, and get to work. Fourty-five minutes later, you and your friends are all out of the mission, earning skell credits for victory. You exchange stories about your close-calls, flawless takedowns, and how you overcame certain obstacles. Teaming back up again, you begin to browse through the Co-op section for something you can all tackle together. So, what do you folks think? What alterations would you make to my idea? Would you enjoy something like this in Breakpoint? [link] [comments]

New player here... uhhh, was Brother vs Brother supposed to be an end mission? Posted: 03 Nov 2020 01:05 PM PST Cause uh, I just kinda stumbled onto it while exploring for gear & weapons, killed a Behemoth, pressed my hand to a thing & now I'm fighting Walker Texas Punisher who I only saw at the beginning and apparently I killed a friend of mine? Idek what they're talking about. Last main story mission I did was watching a boat get destroyed by a mysterious swarm then meeting Hill. Should I quit the mission? Is there even a way to back out of a mission or am I locked into this now? [link] [comments]

Man, how can I look at taking on a Behemoth in Immersive Mode? Posted: 03 Nov 2020 08:08 PM PST I figured with a decent load out, consumables and the help of AI teammates, that maybe a Behemoth could be tough but still doable. But it seems I was wrong, because despite my efforts, I did nothing and had to run. My weapons hitting the blue weakpoints did little damage, my teammates kept getting downed, and lobbing explosives like C4s, Rockets and even the Pathfinder drones did not even scratch it (and it somehow still lobbed gas mortars at me while I was hiding and using the drone, weirdly enough). I've looked to see what I could upgrade further, but there's little else unless I change to the Engineer and use a Sniper Rifle. I know I can sneak in and steal the goodies, but I kinda want to kill one at some point. Any ideas to make it more feasible? [link] [comments] |
