(Breakpoint) Could we get fixes for all these incorrect Mag capacities?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 10:58 AM PDT

Here's something I don't see mentioned that often, why do so many weapons have incorrect Magazine capacities? I'd be great to see them bought in line with their IRL counterparts. Below I'll list all the ones I've noticed, feel free to add to it if I miss anything.

    1. The MP7 with the Extended Magazine should have 40 Rounds, not 50.

    2. The MPX and Scorpion EVO (Including variants) have 20 Round Magazines that hold 30 by default, while their respective 30 Round Magazines are classed as Extended Magazines that hold 50 Rounds. The same goes with the MK17 and the ARX-200.

    3. The MK14's default Magazine holds 15 Rounds when it should have 20 instead.

That's all that comes to mind for me, again feel free to add to this or correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

You guys ever played Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 01:41 PM PDT

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater had so many good ideas about survival in the jungle. I feel like Ubisoft should have taken some time to look at he game as inspiration of what to do with their game when making Breakpoint. Yeah most likely they didn't have the time to really carve up the game properly and it shows.

BUT. I feel like the survival mechanics are a GREAT idea. If done right.

Like I think this game needs a MAJOR interface and control rehaul (with the other things...), like eating food (selecting grenades) could be made more simpler if they would rework on that horrible item wheel they got. And I would love to see the stamina meter decrease over time, and when it's low enough your character's hands would shake when they are aiming and they would get more tired. I think they should add an option where you have to eat, rest and drink at certain periods to remain in top fighting shape. Not just make food some buff.

Also in bivouac, they should change it so that you would have to manage your time for preparations. Like you could use the time to eat and drink, train on weapon techniques, maintain your weapons, decide on strategies, review on clues and the time you have left would be used on sleeping. You sleep too little and it would have adverse affect on your character. This would make the bivouac's more useful than just somewhere you go to take more ammo from and get that best buff that makes you more resistant to injuries.

And, and, we should have these things affect enemies as well. You stop supply convoys: they get poorer gear. Their droids malfunction. They can't aim so well if they are hungry and take fewer hits to down. You could use this to make the system more balanced. Because I feel like the survival elements only affect the Ghosts is a mistake. They should affect enemies as well!

Lastly, why not just make the map into a physical thing? Something you can bring up and look when you need it? Instead of it having in a SLOOOW loading menu. This way you could take peeks at it during you play, not pause the action for something like this. Far Cry 2 did this really well, am surprised they didn't want to keep using this map system! It was GREAT.

I feel like the survival elements in this game should be done so much better. They could be something that adds to the game, instead of taking away from it. Make it more immersive. Not just bandaging your wounds and sometimes very rarely drinking water.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Gunsmith- A rant for the Devs

    Posted: 21 May 2020 11:28 AM PDT

Devs- I've been a GR franchise fan since the days of the original on Xbox. My favorite one was GRAW2 for the co-op and multiplayer developed by Red Storm. One of the things I loved was the gun selection was diverse and did not require unlocks. Everything was available and you could even filter out guns in your lobby if you felt one had an unfair advantage. That said, I feel like you need an education on firearms and how you implement that education into your gunsmith.

Let's use ASR for this rant. You've decided that blueprints are the only way I can change the overall look of my AR-15 platform. You have something like 10 variants of the same basic platform which is nearly entirely cosmetic changes to rails, barrel lengths and stocks. I've noticed you have CTR stocks from Magpul (only on the 516) a B5 SOPMOD stock (only on the 416 assault) the HERA stock/grip combo (only on the 416 shorty) and then tons of different rails. The 416 scout is using the LVOA rail and that's absurd because as a piston gun, the 416 gas system wouldn't fit under the LVOA rail, and neither do suppressors. My suggestion would be to allow us to choose those features. An easy system to implement by adding the following categories: Stock/Rail

Additionally, I feel like you don't understand a few basic principals of building out a firearm. The top rail of all these AR-15 platforms you have in the game have 1913 picatinny rails. These are standard industry spec and can accept any type of accessory that uses a 1913 mount. Meaning on my AR, I can mount a red dot (T1) or a LVPO (ACSS scope) on my upper receiver. Also, optic placement is wrong on nearly every option you've given us for this platform. Here is a good rule of thumb: Red dots go as far forward on the upper receiver as is possible without going past it; meaning you would not mount an optic on the rail. Magnified optics typically have much less eye relief than a red dot and you must mount them further rearward to get a good sight picture. The ACOG for example would be pushed all the way back on the upper receiver to the point of butting up against the folded down rear iron sight (or even all the way to the rear with no BUIS).

When it comes to NV and IR lasers: No one that has used NV would model or design them the way you guys have. Under NODs the red dot would rarely be used passively (looking through the optic with the NVG) and if they did the reticle would not be RED. It would be green. Everything would be green. Unless you had filmless white phosphor tubes. Then it would all be light blue. The IR lasers are the aiming device. As such they should not have a converging point of aim. They should be parallel to the sight. Also, to get a solid zero and good mount, you would not ever put your PEQ-15 on the side of the rail on a bolted on piece of that 1913 picatinny rail. You'd mount it on the top rail and push it alllllll the way forward. On the M4 with the fixed front sight, each side of the laser/illuminators would saddle that front sight post. Same on the MAWL. You'd push that thing to the front of the rail just behind the muzzle device. The reason you'd not have the PEQ on the side is you could not activate that damn thing. You must manually activate the laser with a pressure pad or use the button on the box itself. The MAWL has the buttons on the mount, so no pad is needed. Being able to look through your scope (ACOG) with your NODs down would not be possible. On some red dots (T1, EO Tech) you could if the mount was raised off the rail. But again, when under NODs you'd use your IR laser to aim and would not be looking (or able) to look through your sight. (You would also use the IR illuminator like an invisible flashlight to help you ID and see your target, but that's a whole other subject and rant.)

Underbarrel attachments work the same way as the optic mounts; 1913 picatinny rail. So I could use any of the grips you have on any platform with 1913 on it. There is no reason I can't put a stubby grip designed for SMG on an ASR. Also holy hell why do you put them so close to the magwell? You are a big guy in this game. Your reach would put your grip at lease halfway down the rail.

Let's talk muzzle devices. I've got an AR here in my possession that has what is a really well designed muzzle brake with a QDC feature for a suppressor. There are many examples of these on the market (Knight's Armament, Surefire, Q etc) that have a suppressor mount option on a muzzle brake. I get the benefits of the recoil management of a brake and the ability to mount a QDC suppressor on it at the same time.

Oh yeah. Suppressors. Ugh. Have any of you ever shot one? Do you understand that a suppressor will increase bullet velocity? It acts like having a longer barrel and makes the bullet travel faster than it would without one. Making a suppressor have less damage is not the way. Making it silent is not the way. Unless I'm shooting subsonic rounds you're going to hear the crack the round makes from breaking the sound barrier. A suppressor makes it difficult to tell where the report of that crack comes from. It seems to come from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. So if I were to fire at someone from 300M away you'd be able to tell I fired a round at you but you would not be able to pin point what direction it came from.

Finally bullet drop. There is no way a 5.56 round from a 14.5" barrel is going to drop by as much as you have it modeled at 200m. I feel like I have an airsoft gun where I'm lobbing BBs in an arc trying to hit a sniper at 175m with an AR.

When you're ready to revamp the entire gunsmith hit me up. I'd be happy to consult on what to do and why from a guy who shoots and owns these rifles in real life and understands the mechanics of them. You clearly don't.

Isn't Breakpoint and Fallen Ghosts almost the same thing?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 02:34 PM PDT

(Sorry if this has been said before, I haven't seen anything on it.) In the Fallen Ghosts dlc for Wildlands, you enter Bolivia on a helo, that crashes because of a new and "more difficult enemy." Exactly like Breakpoint. Then you have to go on with "limited" supplies and new weaponry, such as the crossbow (in Wildlands.) Then you have to evade and fight these new enemy's that use new gadgets like those hunters who can go invisible and those guys who are walking jammers. (Wildlands.)

I know there are some differences like the drones and high tech stuff in Breakpoint, but the story is the same. The whole "Hunter becomes the hunted."

Am I the only one who finds this weird?

PSA: Even if you bought Breakpoint after launch, you are still OWED the Sentinel Pack

    Posted: 21 May 2020 07:59 PM PDT

    Store Link

The store link still clearly includes the pack as an included feature. I am contacting Ubisoft support now to get the pack because they are still advertising it as being a feature

I know many others didn't receive the pack after launch so this is just a PSA to speak to Ubisoft support about getting it as it was advertised as a feature and it's absence constitutes false advertising

    This is for ALL platforms

My opinion on what the next GR game really needs before anything else.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 02:01 PM PDT

Not sure if alot of people are aware but the game engine powering the recent 2 Ghost Recon titles are AnvilNext. This has been used since the original Assassins creed and while it has had a few new versions of it, (Breakpoint and Wildlands use the 4th generation of this engine) the engine itself doesn't compare to purpose built engines like say Fox Engine from MGSV. Which has been a reference for alot of people in this sub making complaints since Wildlands release. So I believe that a brand new purpose built engine just for Ghost Recon is very needed, because constantly updating an old game engine just does nothing except make new games rub and look old and tired like they belong from the previous generation.

tldr Brand new purpose built game engine for the Future games + Red Storm back on development duties.

So if you could cherry pick features from all past Ghost Recon Titles into the next game what is making the cut. Oh and let's say you get 3 features from outside Ghost Recon as well. Photo for attention...

So what happened to the character deleting bug? Is it still a thing?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 03:03 PM PDT

I wanna go back to breakpoint but i don't wanna risk facing this glitch, i saw other posts about it and I haven't seen any response from the developers. I'm on xbox and from what i possibly know this glitch seems to happen more on PC and PS4 but i'm still worried about it and i don't have a second character slot in case it happens.
