Ghost Recon - My wife said, “So this game is really quiet for a long time and then all of a sudden it’s really loud, huh?” I said, “If it gets loud, it’s because I fucked up.” Pic unrelated.

Am I the only one who thinks Jon bernthals performance as Walker seems a bit off at times?

    Posted: 10 Nov 2021 06:17 AM PST

I LOVE Jon bernthal, love his acting, he's one of my favorite actors and he seems like a real down to earth nice dude, but his performance as Walker just seems off here and there (maybe it was his first time mocaping and VAing) but his performance just seemed off at some points like he just always seemed to be yelling when he's not supposed to (like the scene where he's trying to convince nomad to hand over Skell behind the glass where he's reloading the revolver "which I believe he never wanted to kill nomad since he came in with his weapon unloaded" and he's talking to him with his voiced kinda raised and not in a calm collected manner, same goes for when he's disciplining his troops for having a party and pointing a loaded weapon at the party civilians) his performance just seems off here and there (also Walker was criminally underused

Ayana Puri mentions there's some higher up pulling the strings on Auroa, higher than Peter Miles

If I understood correctly, that is Michael Lomax, the co-founder of the company that made the CLAW machine with the Strategist. And aside from the documents you find in Episode 2, he's never heard from again. Same with Miles, who at least had a voice actor and kinda appeared in the campaign. I mean, I feel like they should do a rework on the story and improve some things like more explanations and screen time for the antagonists.

There's so much left unexplained, like why is Project Deus so scary (yeah, A.I. replacing humans, but there should've been something more concrete), what were Walker's RET Teams like, why does the US deep state want the Wonderland, not just Walker's motivation because it feels like every antagonist has their own idea of the "Wonderland".

A couple of days ago I suggested a grappling hook idea and a few people responded that it would be cool to have climbing gear like Death Stranding. For immersion, I definitely agree.
