- Despite the Cross-Draw vest having a holster, a pistol is no where to be seen on the vest. It is a small change that would be nice to have. Purely cosmetic, as seen on the Strap Chest Harness and Light Carrier Harness.

A conspiracy theory regarding a future game/DLC based on the new patch notes. Posted: 29 Oct 2021 12:55 PM PDT Okay, I checked what is being added to the Ubi store on the patch notes and for some reason my conspiracy meter went off the charts. So... for the AI teammate upgrade update, the devs added two Russian packs featuring modern Russian gear and uniforms before the Op Motherland update that heavily features Bodark troops equiped with newly added modern Russian weapons and even more gear that built upon those two gear packs in the store. Now, it appears that in the store they're adding a shit-ton of US Vietnam War-era gear as well as Soviet Army's gear from the Soviet-Afghan War. Now... this might also be a massive stretch... but the title that you unlock for reaching lvl 99 is "1st Battalion, 5th SFG". This is the real life unit that the Ghosts originate from in the GR lore. The 5th SFG is most known for it's actions and involvement during the Vietnam War and the War in Afghanistan (2001-2021). But what the title is missing is the fictional "D Company" prefix as in "D Company, 1st Battalion, 5th SFG", which is what the full name of Ghosts unit was when it was founded in 1994 (before they were reorganized as the Group for Specialized Tactics - GST). My point is, are the devs possibly teasing a Ghost Recon prequel set during the Cold War where we play as the predecessors to the Ghosts or "Delta Company" (either during the Vietnam War or Soviet-Afghan War or both)? Or... at the very minimum, we might possibly see more Cold War era weapons (like the M16 & M60) and gear sets added in the future to Breakpoint. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

Posted: 29 Oct 2021 09:28 AM PDT Stretched out last night and played breakpoint on ps4 for about 5 to 8 hours after having not played for quite a while. I was very surprised to see that all of nomads physics/player interactions and general "playfeel" have been dramatically improved!! Across-the-board: -nomad moves easier across the terrain -slides down slopes better -climbs up steep surfaces better -moves across weird rocks better -climbs up ledges better -interacts with ladders and vehicles better -the vehicles drive better -camera control while driving cars and trucks has been smoothed out and is a lot better -many many instances of the player briefly losing control of nomad for various animations and circumstances have been reduced/sped up/smoothed out or otherwise eliminated. -getting in and out of water is smoother -getting in and out of prone is smoother -Bring out your binoculars or drone is faster and smoother -moving in waist deep water and shallow water is better -you can "move" in different directions a little now while dodge rolling On and on. In my opinion, this is one of the more substantial parts of the update that they aren't even talking about. Nomads clunky controls and weird traversal have been made much more pleasant and smooth!! Clarification on Motherland's Conquest Mode Posted: 29 Oct 2021 01:05 PM PDT ''Conquest mode is a new alternative mode to the classic GRB story mode. It is accessible via the objective board or the TacMap, right after the onboarding portion of the story mode. Players must conquer the island region by region and free Auroa from the clutches of the Bodarks with the help of the Outcasts and Karen Bowman." Maybe I'm misunderstanding (or waaaaay overthinking) this, but the premise of Conquest mode was a return to Auroa some months after the completion of Operation Greenstone. Let's say you're starting a new profile, will the game: -Assume you went through the entirety of at least Episode 1(and maybe Ep2-3 + Live Events) and just recap events to the current situation? OR -Will it be an alternate timeline/soft-reboot that Nomad & Co managed to escape Auroa after the disastrous infiltration attempt or narrowly escaped crashing and regrouped at the Wasp until an opportunity presented itself (possibly via Bowman and the Outcasts)? I guess the short answer would be 'shut up and wait until it launches!', but I'm curious about how it would affect any story content/gameplay elements going forward, like if there were to be a Year 3 or adding things like these Bodark archetypes/the seasonal weather change as World Parameters.
