Met a new co-op friend here in this subreddit. He invited me to play some Wildlands the other night with him and his buddy. Co-op photomode allows the NVG's to stay down so I was able to snag a cool pic in this beautiful area of the map. Good times! Positive vibes! New friends!

    Animation Overhaul

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 09:53 AM PDT

So I have been a huge fan of Breakpoint since the open beta. The updates that Ubisoft has added have all added great things to the game and I think they are shaping Breakpoint into an awesome game. My biggest gripe right now is the animations. They feel very stiff and unnatural. And not to compare too much, but the animation in Wildlands felt very smooth.

The pistol walking animation in its current state is the worst. It's quite literally a waddle. I would hope that future updates address the rigidity of many of the animations and make changes to improve them.

But keep up the good work Ubisoft, I think you're on the right path with Breakpoint and I am thankful for the continual updates and that you will be supporting it for a second year

The upcoming Tomb Raider "crossover" shows that Ubisoft is now out of ideas

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 09:22 AM PDT

Exactly as the title says.. The fact that they're now talking about something that doesn't even have anything to do with the Ghost Recon franchise and that it's actually being genuinely considered, just for the sake of extra content.. Shows that Ubisoft's ideas are now starting to run dry (if they haven't already).

Don't get me wrong.. I'm all for new and additional content, especially when it comes at no extra cost.. But to add something to the game that doesn't belong in the franchise, just seems ridiculous! You could also make that argument for the Terminator content that was added. Ok, I get it! (when they had the licence to do it), the Predator mission in Ghost Recon: Wildlands was cool and made sense, given the surroundings/environment and how the mechanics or the logic of the mission could be done and it worked pretty well. And also because of how closely Bolivia's jungle areas resembled the landscape of the 1987 hit movie.
Then you have a made-up island in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, that is plagued with endless drones and advanced technology, that the devs thought they should capitalise on that, by going the extra step to include another bunch of A.I robots (Terminators). A bit unoriginal, but ok..

But c'mon, Ubisoft. Instead of adding mindless and pointless content.. Add to the game's story/campaign that continues on from the ending of the main story, in some way. We finally got A.I teammates (after waiting so long for them.. When they should've been in the game at launch). I kind of see the appeal of adding content relating to Sam Fisher and the Splinter Cell series (even though I still say that said content, should be in its own individual game), because that's still technically in-house.. And maybe the Rainbow Six content, too.. but how did Ubisoft attain the right/s to use the Tomb Raider content?! The last time I looked, Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix owned the Tomb Raider licence.
When we say we're asking for more content, we're not just asking for ANY content. We want meaningful content, that makes us feel immersed in the characters and the game's story, itself. Not endless crossovers, that add to the game from every other franchise going..

    Snipers

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 05:11 PM PDT

Is there some trick to taking out sniper towers from a helicopter? It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using a Gatling gun or rockets. I just can't seem to take them out. I've been shot down more than once by snipers while trying to take them down.
