    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint - Patch Notes Title Update 2.1.0

    Our latest patch for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Breakpoint, Title Update 2.1.0, will be deployed on July 15th at 9:00AM UTC across all platforms.

    In addition to highlights and information listed below, please note that our Known Issues List has also been updated. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinions with us as we continue to improve the game.

    NEW FEATURES

    AI Teammates

    The long awaited AI teammates are joining Nomad's rank in the next TU. Teammates can be activated and deactivated from the lobby menu, and all of them can be customizable from the same menu.

    • Regroup – Teammates come back to the players.
    • Go To – Teammates go to a designated position.
    • Cleared Hot – Teammates engage with enemy, seeking cover nearby.
    • Hold Position – Teammates go to the closest cover and stick to their position.

    Live Event 2

    Like in TU 1.1.0, we are bringing new limited content for two weeks. Live Event 2 will start on July 16 and will end on July 29.

    This event will bring out 9 new missions:

    • 3 hostages rescue missions
    • 3 convoy ambush missions
    • 3 camp assault missions

    Those missions will be available for players to pick in the Objectives Board. Each mission fills a gauge that will unlock exclusive time-limited rewards. The missions will be playable again by players once the event is over, but it will not grant more rewards.

    We will release our full mission briefing for Live Event 2 on Wednesday, July 15.

    Gunsmith & Weapon Update

    To improve the customization in the Gunsmith, we have added the ability for players to select a firing mode by choosing two kinds of trigger: single fire or burst. Whichever mode the player choses, it will only impact the shots fired and not have any impact on the damage done.

    • Single fire – one bullet fired per pressure on the trigger.
    • Burst – three bullets fired per pressure on the trigger.

    Weapons & Attachments Objective Board Update

    In order to make the objective board menu more valuable and engaging to players, information about weapons and attachments is no longer hidden by default.

    Even if you have not discovered any intel about a weapon/attachment, it will now show up on the board as a grey tile with the name and silhouette to indicate the weapon family it belongs to.

    Once you have found intel on the weapon/attachment, it will now have a tag to easily indicate where it can be acquired. These tags include: PvP, Maria's Shop, Missions, Raid, Ubisoft Club, and Classes Rank 10.

    Alert Messages

    Players were missing alert messages in HUD due to settings, so visual improvements were made in the messages to fit the HUD settings. Messages were adapted to be displayed with a discrete visual. Immersive mode does not show alert messages anymore except for "warning" and "immediate action."

    Project Titan: New Intel Gathering Phase Variations (out on July 21)

    New variations to the intel gathering phase between bosses have been added to the raid pool to bring players more variety. Those variations include new information about objectives and new intel for players to collect, which provide different associated stories for each raid boss.

    As a reminder, Project Titan resets every Tuesday at 9:00 AM UTC so there will be different intel, objectives, and stories each week for players.

    PvP

    Observer Mode

    Coming with the new TU is also the Observer mode in the Ghost War custom matches. The Observer mode will allow an extra person to have a global and individual view on the PvP game ongoing. It includes:

    • players' tag and status
    • chosen weapons

    • position on the map

    PvP UI Widgets

    To improve the quality of the PvP mode in the game, we added the option for players to show or hide several widgets and to modify a couple of settings:

    • PvP Team Widget – see which player/ability is still alive in a game

    • PvP Notifications
    • PvP Team Status Updates – see how many players are left in a game
    • PvP Score – see the score added after an action
    • PvP Surveillance HUD – see and modify the surveillance system markers settings

    Item Drop

    Item drop is also a new feature coming to improve the PvP mode in our game. Players are now able to drop items from the item wheel and allow other co-op players to pick them up. You can drop any consumable that is not a class-specific item or the drone.

    For example, if you've got an extra syringe, drop it for a hurt teammate to pick up and get back in the fight. Have an extra grenade? Spread the firepower to your teammates to corner your opponents.

    New Ghost War Missions

    Bringing out new content for our PvP players, we are integrating new Ghost War missions. Those new missions will include new challenges and achievements for our players:-

    • Pursuer – kill 10 enemies detected with pulse vision | Reward: "Pursuer" Title + 2000 Skell credits.
    • Trapper – Concuss 10 enemies with the shock pistol from Echelon class | Reward: 2000 Skell credits.
    • Support – Buff 10 friendlies with the supply drone | Reward: 2000 Skell credits
    • Defense Drone Specialist – Hit enemies 100 times with the defense drone | Reward: 2000 Skell credits.

    PATCH HIGHLIGHTS

    • Made improvements to movement/running animations visible from further camera settings.
    • Fixed an issue where the DMR rifle caused an instant kill glitch.
      • This issue has been addressed by the team as per player reports. Please let us know if you still see this occur in game; either the same or in a new form.
    • Fixed an issue where the Logistics Expert milestone could not be completed.
    • Fixed an issue which would prevent players from unlocking upgrades for MK2 and MK3 even with perks unlocked in Ghost War.
    • Fixed several clipping issues on items. See the full list of items impacted by this fix below.
    • Fury, Fixit, and Vasily figures will now be available by default in the game.
    • Fixed an issue where NPCs, who are killed with a headshot, would shout.

    • Fixed an issue where scope color did not fit Quantum Theme Pattern.
    • Fixed an issue where selecting a pre-selected attachment in the Gunsmith would sometimes make the model disappear.
    • Fixed an issue where "Damage to Drones" text would be inconsistent on upgrades for different weapon classes.
    • Fixed an issue where the camera would clip when players would aim the LMG Stoner with Ironsight scope
    • Fixed an issue where Weapon Connoisseur Challenge would not be awarded after getting 80 blueprints.

    Long Reload - Refilling Magazine

    This is if you have enabled ammunition-loss upon reloading:

    A variant of reloading where holding R initiates a long reload with Nomad sticking individual bullets into the magazine. This long reload could be stopped at any time, like how shotgun shell reloading can be interrupted. We already have animations of Nomad idly ejecting the magazine to check how many bullets are inside.

    This can apply to assault rifles, DMRs, sniper rifles (with detachable magazines), submachine guns, and pistols. I am less sure how feasible/easy it is to manually load a drum magazine or LMG box magazine.

    I dislike starting off a fight at say 18/30 bullets, but at the same time I do not want to throw away 18 good bullets. That could be up to 18 dead enemies through well-placed headshots. Lower than 10/30 I may be more tempted to throw away, but if I have plenty of time beforehand I would like to top it up to 30/30 without losing anything.

    A mechanic to consider before Episode 3 releases, perhaps?

    During her early childhood, Iva was lauded by her teachers for her inquisitive spirit and selfless empathy she displayed towards her peers. If her trajectory were left unaltered, she might have one day found a career in social work, or perhaps employed by a charitable foundation. But, as for many growing up in the Balkans during the 1990's, Iva's fate was forever altered by the breakup of Yugoslavia, and the resulting Bosnian War. Forced to endure the brutal siege of Sarajevo, her endless curiosity had no place in a warzone. Orphaned during the siege, Iva was left with a set of instinctive survival skills, as well as a profound sense of loss.

    Spending her turbulent adolescence bouncing from orphanage to orphanage, Iva emigrated to North Macedonia at the age of 18, joining the army to obtain citizenship, as much as a sense of purpose. She took to her training well, and her superiors were impressed by her attention to detail and tactical flexibility. By age 21 she was commissioned as a second lieutenant, and it once again looked like her future was just beginning. What should have been a promising career, however, was cut tragically short when her unit was involved in a massacre of unarmed protesters. Hit by stones and debris, with casualties mounting, and an angry crowd advancing ever closer, Iva gave the order for her company to open fire. In the end, eleven people lay dead, and with that her career was over. Court martialed and discharged, Iva left the military in disgrace, and hardened by the experience. Her worldview changed, she gave up on staking a future for herself, instead diving into a chasm of private military corporations, small and large, legitimate, and otherwise, for something, anything to distract her from her demons.

    By the time Walker approached Iva, she had fought in conflict zones across Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and North Africa, taking work without regard for impact or validity, garnering a reputation for ruthless efficiency in the process. Enticed by Sentinel's generous contract, as well as Walker's willingness to look the other way at her past military transgressions, Iva joined as a Special Tactics Instructor, imparting her years of conflict zone knowledge upon a sea of fresh recruits. Eventually finding herself on Auroa, she finally came to believe in herself again, but her long repressed curiosity got the better of her. Discovering the plans for Operation Citadel, doubts began to form about Sentinel's true nature, and witnessing firsthand the excesses committed by her recruits against Outcasts and civilians, uncomfortable memories of her military life made their way to the surface once more.

    Determining not to be branded a criminal yet again, and well aware that Sentinel's paychecks would soon be worthless when their assets were inevitably seized, Iva waited patiently for an opportunity to escape. Her chance came when, during a training course at the Arrow Testing Zone, a Ghost team raided the facility, in an event later referred to as "Black Sunday." As Asraels cooked off in their hangars, and contractors scrambled to their stations, she made her exit. Snagging Walker's backup sidearm from his office as a parting gift, she wandered aimlessly through the jungle, unsure of her next move until encountering a wounded Outcast. Resolutely raising a sidearm at his captor before falling unconscious, Iva hesitated before the man, uncertain of what to do, but for the first time in many years, she felt compelled to stay. Disarming the programmer turned insurgent, she treated his wounds, but as the Outcast regained consciousness, a detachment of Wolves appeared. Congratulating their respected instructor on her prize, the squad positioned to carry out the execution, but heard the click of Iva's revolver too late. Coldly and methodically she placed a heavy caliber round through each soldier's center mass, cutting-edge body armor splintering open to the brute force of her attack. They were no longer her soldiers or friends, they were lost to the machine of Sentinel, and, she reasoned, paid a just price for their disregard for human life.

    An Outcast and traitor, Iva knows her fate is likely a dark one. But for the first time in years she has a compass to guide her, and she is determined to save Auroa from Sentinel, at any cost.

    Has anyone else stumbled upon unobtainable materials. Found what looks like some kind of Crystal deposit, maybe Emerald? It's located in Smuggler's Cove the middle of three points, Cemetery Forest, White Cross Peak and Discovery Mountain on the Land bridge.

    lol...they use furthermore the Pouch and the Watch from Nomad in all there Promo Videos and gave us a stripped down version of Nomads Firgure!

    Reloading Logic: How long it takes for the weapon to reload based on its magazine type.

    I saw this on the AI team mate info page, I hope this also applies to enemy AI, good news if so. After this, some more natural AI routines like sleep cycles would be good for future patches.
