Jumped back onto wildlands. Man Bolivia is 100x better than Auroa. The biomes and the people make the world so much more alive and realistic. Hopefully Ubis next GR game is similar to this but in Africa, Asia or even Eastern Europe such as Ukraine.

Ways to solve our drone woes

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 12:34 PM PDT

Drones present two problems for players

    1. They're everywhere. They are less fun to fight because whole island is oversaturated with those things and they aren't special.
    2. They make stealth pointless since there's no way to quietly take them down. EMP grenades can kill the flying ones if you time it right though there's still the issue of the drone exploding.

I present two ways to improve drones.

First, make it so drones in bases are inactive until the base goes on alert. The player should never be forced to fight them head on, like the human enemies. They'll be in standby in docking bays to recharge and receive orders until someone sets off the alarm like the autoturrets and mortars.

While in the docking bays, players can sabotage them. They can hack into each bay's computer and either 1) shut down the drone, 2) rig the drones to self destruct when the base goes alert, or 3) sabotage the drone's IFF so that it targets Sentinel forces when they activate. They will fire indiscriminately but they'll be Sentinel's problem as long as the player hides. I imagine Ubi could introduce a new class or item capable of making the drones friendly to the Ghosts when sabotaging the IFF.

When drones go active, they will search the player's last reported position and the surrounding area like the rest of Sentinel. Then when the base quiets down, they return to their docking bays to recharge and receive orders.

My second improvement (more of a nerf) is to slow down and weaken the flying drones. They are the worst enemy to fight in the game, even behemoths are more fun. Like the ground drones, they'll be inactive in docking bays until the base goes on alert and can be sabotaged.

Realistically, it should only take a few bullets to put them down considering how light they'd have to be to even lift off of the ground, and there's no way they'd be able to dart around like that without some kind of thruster. The dodge needs to either be slowed to a realistic speed or removed and replaced with regular strafing.

These changes would make stealth more viable and make the drones less frustrating without forcing Ubi to restructure the game to remove them. Honestly, the drones don't need to be removed from the game entirely, they just need to be more fun.

    Love this bug

There's so many amazing takedown animations that we virtually never get to see just because you need to be on a slight incline. Please Ubi, change it so that we get to see them more often!

Ubisoft, just make it an option to turn on or off headgear in cutscenes in Breakpoint

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 09:31 AM PDT

Mass Effect: Andromeda had it, which is notorious for its facial expressions, but it still worked. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't have headgear on during cutscenes in Breakpoint.

Would have been awesome to see some conviction themed gear... I always liked Sam's outfit and backpack from that game!

It seems like a good change to the game to have a underbarrel flashlight attachment. what do you all think?

Is there any point really in doing this base stealthy? I hate drones

Hard to believe this is a game

I've just made a quick graphics settings guide for GR Breakpoint. I've tested all "Ultimate" settings and how they affect the "Frames Rendered" score in the benchmark tool. Turns out that Volumetric Fog and Grass Quality have the biggest impact on performance. The complete results can be seen here:

Drones need..READJUSTED for GHOST Exp Mode

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 10:39 AM PDT

Since this game is no longer an arcade run and gun never be killed bore fest, and you have to actually FIGHT TO STAY ALIVE....these fucking flying drones that are defying the laws of physics have GOT TO GO. I am fairly certain not even the mighty SHROUD or Dr. Disrespect can shoot these assholes moving at light speed at ridiculous angles out of the sky before being killed by everything else shooting at them also.

Patches and time made Wildlands good

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 06:18 PM PDT

Everyone who played Wildlands in the beginning knows that Year One was a mess. Both Breakpoint and Wildlands have their qualities, but we need to remember that Wildlands is superior to Breakpoint only because years of patching. TU 2.0 and Ghost Experience came to us show that in the future Breakpoint may turn to be amazing game.

The update is really nice BUT..

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 07:03 AM PDT

I just can't get warm with this game even it makes some things better than Waldlands did. The character looks better, overall the graphic, the gear is better and you can put your Peq - 15 on top of your 416 BUT

    1. the world. It's a fictional island and not some type of warzone like Bolivia or the Middle East could have been you don't have any relationship to this place.

    2. All this monotone buildings with all this high tech stuff. It doesn't feel so gritty anymore like all these destroyed buildings.

    3. the drones and the missions. Ok wildlands you had missions where you had to capture or kill HVTS, raid bases that looked and felt realistic and there were no drones.

    4. the enemies. In wildlands they've looked like sicarios or military police units and not like wannabe badasses like this stupid wolves. If you shot anyone they stopped rushing you. In breakpoint you can shoot someone 3-4 times in the legs or the torso and they don't care.

All these points ruin this game for me. If any of you have thoughts on this one let me know.
