Sector 2 raid boss (GARGOYLE) - walkthrough, mechanics and tips Posted: 30 Nov 2019 12:20 PM PST In real life, Jace Skell is probably about 8 years old, and starting to get interested in programming, AI, and automation. Facing all the hazards of a near future operator, you will be fighting GARGOYLE, a nasty flying drone. In the age of space command and cyber warfare, special operators have to be smart. When fighting things that cause instadeath, tough no longer wins. Summary: This is a complicated fight, requiring good positioning and coordination among the group. Everyone has to do exactly what they are supposed to at exactly the right time, or they die, or everyone dies. You are trapped in a square arena with a few stacks of crates in each quadrant. Positioning:
Phases:
Mechanics:
Tips and tricks:
That's all I can think of. Enjoy the fight! EDIT: Added 15% phase. Thanks P_Rossmore! [link] [comments]

Should Ubisoft "redo" Breakpoint's story? Posted: 30 Nov 2019 11:18 AM PST Haven't seen too many story discussion threads on here. I don't even know if a story re-write is possible or that Ubisoft would even consider it, not to mention the costs of getting Jon Bernthal back in, but I figured I'd put in my two cents: It's a joke. The villains are cartoonish Far Cry characters, from Sentinel beating both civilians and their own soldiers to death, to torture for kicks just to name a few highlights. Trey Stone acts like he desperately wants to twirl his mustache and even comes packaged with a stereotypical evil southern accent. Jon Bernthal, a huge selling point for the game, has a screentime of 20 minutes and none of his motivations are made clear in the few cutscenes he's in. He acts like Vaas or Pagan Min if they had binged The Punisher and doesn't even resemble what we've seen of him in the trailers or even Operation Oracle. He has a cool Wolf outfit that he wears once without the mask, and we learn he plays second fiddle to Stone and the CIA (or at least Peter Miles). The closest he comes to being the character we saw in the Live Action trailer instead of a "quirky Ubi villain" is during the flashback when Walker and Nomad are being grilled by a general, complete with Trey Stone doing villainous lighter tricks in the background. The other Wolves are wasted too and they go down without ceremony. It's even possible to kill Flycatcher by accident, and the regular Wolves just act like Sentinel soldiers with Vader voices (which they actually are, only Flycatcher, Silverback, and Rosebud are former Ghosts). We're told that we are one of the few survivors and we see countless Ghosts killed, yet there are always 32 Ghosts in Erewhon running around. Haruhi Ito bombs Skell Tech, leading to Jace Skell hiring Sentinel and Walker, and no one seems to care? All Nomad does is praise her for terrorism when she's the catalyst to this whole mess. Sure, maybe Miles would have found another way That's just a few of my story gripes, feel free to comment with your own, and whether or not you think the story could/should be redone. There's potential here, I just think it hasn't been utilized properly. I want to like this game, Ubisoft just seems to be deadset on making me hate it. [link] [comments]
Can the dynamic OTS switching be disabled somehow? Posted: 30 Nov 2019 03:22 PM PST In Breakpoint, I really do not like how the camera will dynamically switch shoulders in certain cases, and when it's over the left shoulder it feels really weird and uncomfortable. Can it be locked to the right side somehow? I can't find the option to do so. [link] [comments]

The fighting arena for Baal was a bad choice. Posted: 30 Nov 2019 09:25 AM PST I think a much better area would have been something similar to "Driftwood Islets Testing Zone" after all Baal is apparently "The city killer" [link] [comments]
All 4 Boss battles + Cutscenes Posted: 30 Nov 2019 01:20 PM PST As the title says, here are mostly unedited videos of all the boss encounters being completed. We are using communications throughout all encounters, however with the exception of the Super Computer I disabled recording them. Do note that the Super Computer encounter is not how the boss is supposed to be handled, but by oversight I imagine it is possible to bypass its mechanics by raw DPS output as we did. For finding a group I recommend having a look at the Ghost Recon Discord which is linked in this subreddit. For detailed guides and breakdown of mechanics I recommend eyeSpy1's posts on this subreddit, which I will link under each video here for convenience. Raid guide (Titan Alpha, Beta Omega, Zeta) and my thoughts and a little story Posted: 30 Nov 2019 05:25 AM PST Work in progress post (mostly done for today) I will add some screenshots and locations when I get home in about 24h from posting FEEDBACK The raid is challenging and a lot of fun with good communication and miserable with no communication And you need good communication aspecially for titan Beta. Unfortunately they don't drop anything for doing then the second time GUIDE Titan Alpha Recommended weapons: Preatty much anything will do General description: Big ass tank Spawns wolves with shotguns and a sniper after a sound que The only weak point is a small blue panel on the back Behaviour: Follows the last target to get withing about 5 meters of it Dash attack - easy to dodge as long as you keep moving Blue laster - scans a player if it reaches 100%, shoot a rocket and insta kills Behaviour change below 50% health (stage 2): Adds a second purple laser that behaves exactly like the blue one Strategy / tips: Run in front of a person that is being scanned by the laser it will switch target to you and start at 0% if that wasn't the person that gave you the laster the last time Basically switch laster agro in the following pattern, player A>B>C>A and it will keep you from ever reaching 100% and dying Titan Beta Recommended weapons: Stonner LMG with extended magazine and a assault riffle for the drones General description: Take your sweet time with this one as it only starts doing anything one you interact with "wifi pads", "nodes" or go to "control room" so get to know the arena, you need that knowledge. This is the one that needs the most communication and you will need to talk to do this one There are 3 computers you have to destroy with separate health bars but for the stage 2 it counts as one Behaviour: After you interact with anything or go to control room it will release toxic gas and will kill you after about a minute but you can delay it Spawns drones periodically Behaviour change below 50% (stage 2): Spawns more drones and stronger ones Strategy / tips: Recon the area, get to know the place, communicate and divide the map into sectors, for us we divided it into 3 sectors A (the upper floor) B (the side section) C (the middle section) and the control. Each of us was on duty in one of the sectors and in each sector there are 3 wifi pads. There is a map of wifi points that you need to activate in the control room and if you do you can delay the toxic gas by using the vent that is above the control room (there is a single use drone EMP and O2 button over there, use it wisely) But how to kill it... Start at one of the computers, 2 of you have to activate the nodes, all of you have to be there and damage it and you have to kill each of the computers in one go (use stoner LMG's with extended mags, it has the highest dps and enough ammo in the mag to last you for one computer), if you manage to kill it in one go, clear out the drones, do the wifi pads and proceed to the next computer and repeat Titan Omega Recommend weapons: LMG and ASR but it doesn't matter all that much General description: That's the one we had the most fun with Big flying drone Behaviour: Laser attack - one laster furring from both sides you have to get down or to the high ground depending on were I'd it firing from. Summons super easy to kill drones - just free ammo. Shock grannades - drops it on 2-3 random players and you can out run them but they leave an AOE afterwards so make sure it doesn't block the high ground for you. Insta kill attack - the big fucker flies to to middle of the arena and you have to shoot two panels (one on each side) within a shot time frame or you'll all die Behaviour below 50% (stage 2): Instead of one laser there are two Behaviour below 20% (stage 3): Flies to the middle and now has 4 panels to shoot Strategy / tips: Each of you should go to one corner and make sure you shot the panels when he gets to the middle, that's it Quite simple Titan Zeta Great description below in a comment by "Xeno2619" Recommended weapons: LMG and ASR General description 3 flying things (idk what the hell is that) Weak points only show up when they are far apart. Spawns suicide bombers drones Behaviour: 3 separate enemies that link and regenerate HP when the are close. They follow whoever gets within 5 meters of them, so that how to separate them. Flash attack - just turn you camera away from them Rocket attack - you can out run it. Rush attack - welp, you're fucked. Laser beam - just shoot at where it's coming from or brak the line of sight by running around another of those things. There was sth more but can't remember right now. Behaviour when one of them is below 50% (stage 2): They link with red laser that kills you if you pass though it Behaviour when one of them is dead (stage 3): He's not gone but slowly regenerates. Strategy / tips: Drag them apart and rotate around the arena (in our case clockwise) Drop all of them to 55%HP, then all to 5% And kill'em (Easier said than done we didn't manage to do it) If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments Hope that helps someone, for us it was a lot of trail and error (mostly error) If you liked the post or if you want to try Zeta with me or just team up for fun, feel free to add me on PC "iDeaZ99" [link] [comments]
