The game definitely has its issues, but here's to hoping Ubisoft can turn it around and make it great.

    Ubisoft, please don’t abandon breakpoint.

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 06:04 AM PDT

We all know that breakpoint launch was a disaster. The in game store, looting system and other things made ghost recon breakpoint a controversial game. Following your statement, I fear for the future of this game.

Although breakpoint might not be a perfect game, there is something to it. Something, that I never felt while playing any other game. The character customization, the setting, the story... it all seems so good to me. Despite the criticism after both betas, I still kept my pre-order.

One point I can bring here, is current state of Star Wars battlefront. It had a terrible launch, but now the game is thriving with devs adding community suggestions. I believe it was a 1st most bought game on xbox one store few months back.

I really hope that mine, and other people's pre orders and hopes won't be abandoned after the year 1.

Ubisoft, tell me if I have to defend a computer.

Make the objective Hack and Defend the Computer instead of just Hack the Computer and then tell me to defend afterwards so I know if I need to clean the area out beforehand.

    A message for Ubi-Paris as a consumer

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:14 PM PDT

You're supposed to pay testers to find bugs in your games, not have consumers pay 60 dollars minimum to do your job. You guys are absolutely failing to act like a "AAA" company in many ways.

Should ubisoft replace their lead developer for Ubi-paris

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:45 PM PDT

Title says it all. I think yes, and as a community should consider starting a petition. Thoughts?

Edit: after reading the comments, I think I should have said it should be higher up rather than the leading dev, seeing how I rushed the thought and just posted I should have said someone in a decision making position.

Am I the only one who’s given up on Stealth?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 11:18 AM PDT

As it stands, I've completely abandoned trying to sneak around in Breakpoint. The reasons below are listed. Welcome to my TED Talk.

    Drones

Drones make stealth pointless. No matter what your best laid plans are, you WILL be detected, and there is no way to take them down quietly. When you fail to stealthily deal with the drones, they WILL alert the whole base and you WILL be forced to fight your way out. If you manage to take them out quickly, the resulting explosion will alert most of the base, leading to your eventual detection. It's better to just take them out then fight your way through the slightly less bulletproof

    Sentinel Grunts are Inhumanly Durable

Even though the drones are absurdly durable, they won't be in every base. That said, every non-drone enemy is still a Division-esque bullet sponge. You are punished if you aim for center mass, since body/chest shots do comically low damage, almost none if your GS is lower than your enemies. This ends up making it so that groups are impossible to deal with unless you're able to acquire and land 3, 4, or 5+ headshots in the fraction of a second before they alert the whole base. If there's a GS difference between you and your enemies, headshots become the only way to effectively kill enemies.

    No AI Teammates.

If you're unfortunate enough to have some shit-tier Sattelite or ASDL (God forbid you're unfortunate enough to have Windstream as your ISP), then you will spend most of your time playing the game solo. Aside from this making certain camos and other customization items completely unobtainable (which is a separate gripe that I won't bother addressing), it also makes the stealth approach near impossible unless the base is borderline undefended.

Having a limited number of sync shot drones adds insult to injury. All they really do is give you a countdown until you eventually have to go loud. They may be useful for targeting specific infantry guys AS you go loud, or taking out heavily isolated patrols as you get into position to defend yourself, but they do little to aid in remaining undetected unless a location is only defended by a skeleton crew.

    Takes Too Long

Again, if you have some shit-tier ASDL ISP like Windstream or some slightly less shit-tier Sattelite ISP like Hughesnet, you're gonna have a rough time in Breakpoint anyways since it's online only. However, depending on where you are, you may only be able to play for specific amounts of time before you eventually lose connection to Ubisoft servers. The longest I've ever been able to play without being disconnected is 45ish minutes, the shortest is about 15 seconds.

Assuming all the aforementioned requirements are met: no drones, very few Infantry, and sufficient GS, you may be able to actually do a mission or clear a base without being detected. That said, I personally have to race against a clock that I can't see, and stealthing a poorly defended, droneless base is just much slower than kicking doors with an unsilenced weapon.

If I had to offer some sort of ideas to improve it, the only one that seems viable is to not make the Humans as bulletproof as they are. Yes, headshots are an instant kill on most human enemies, but aiming for center-mass is how you're supposed to dispatch people, and most enemies don't wear any significant protection over their vital areas. There's no reason for the average grunt to take more than 2 or 3 shots to the chest without dying. If there's a GS difference, aiming for anything except the head guarantees that you'll have to reload before you can kill two guys.

    EDIT: Spelling

Also, forgot to mention how the melee takedowns are comically overdone and counterintuitive to actual stealth, though getting close enough to knife someone without being detected is rare enough to where it's not important to mention.

Plus, vehicles are automatically spotted as if Sentinel doesn't actually use vehicles.
