    Oh...now y’all like wildlands?

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 05:45 PM PST

Seeing everyone all of a sudden like wildlands after shitting on it for two years is weird. Now the customization was amazing. The fuckin camo was awesome. The AI was great (let's not kid ourselves there though chaps...that's when I knew these fuckers were trippin)

I fuckin loved that game and always tried to back it up on this sub (and would get downvoted into fuckin oblivious whenever I would) but Jesus Christ seeing you guys all of a sudden love it after knocking it all that time is fuckin lame.

That's why we got breakpoint. Because whenever they did something you asked for you bitched about it. So they fuckin didn't know what to give you. This sub was definitely the most toxic game sub I belonged to, so much so I left until breakpoint came out because it was such a fuckin tactical neckbeard mess. And now that we got another one all you can do is praise the game you shit on forever.

Like I remember when they gave us the mk18 and all anyone could do was bitch (I'll admit. They fucked us on the price for sure) "it's not the mod 1 like the seals have" "why did they add that dumb furniture!" Blah blah blah. Like they fuckin gave you a gun that was almost identical to the gun you fuckin start with because you wouldn't shut up about it...and then all you could do was say it fuckin sucked...I've never seen a company listen to their fans like that. Ever.

How do you expect a company to make the game you want if you're constantly fuckin yelling at them when they do the right thing?

So yeah. Wildlands is a fuckin banger. Glad to see we are all on the same fuckin page now.

Something looks off about the PMC contractors hired by rebel supporters...

So uh, whats the word with this update?

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 12:45 PM PST

Ubi already delayed a patch the game needed badly in early Dec, haven't touched the game since. I really want this game to have a chance but since then we have heard absolutely nothing about the status of anything. It was frustrating to have the patch delayed but even more so to not receive any sort of intel about what is going on.

Do you CM's know anything? What is going on behind the scenes? Everyone has been back to work since the new year began for a whole week but still no words to this community? The silence is killing the community. I've since gotten back into Tarkov as well as started Days Gone, and Breakpoint would need a miracle to get me to reinstall it. Maybe it is just time to move on.

I hope AI squad mates work like this...

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 03:57 PM PST

Ubisoft have said AI squad mates will be added in further down the line (they should have been in at launch, but that's a whole other conversation).

I've been going back and playing some older games recently, and I went back to the Brother In Arms games - the squad management mechanics are great!

I really feel like the Ghost Recon games have lost sight of their "tactical" roots, but that the Brothers in Arms squad management and tactics mechanics would have sat so well in Wildlands/would sit so well in Breakpoint.

What do people think? Also, do people think there's any chance, or will it just be basic "everyone go here", "everyone wait", "everyone shoot at whoever they want" commands again like in Wildlands?

Off topic but related - with the recent resurgence in World War games (BF1, COD: WWII) it'd be amazing to have a new Brothers In Arms game!

I find it funny how these action figures look better than the customization in Breakpoint

Ok so now the moderators are removing posts involving a discussion about the games vehicles, what rules where broken???

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 01:22 AM PST

As a community we should make a list of what we want in upcoming games and what we liked from the older games more.

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 09:53 AM PST

As a community we should make a list of what we like and don't like about Breakpoint, what we think wildlands or older games did better, and what we think would make either Breakpoint or the next game better, this could help the devs better understand what we want from these games and make their lives easier post lunch. Share what you think would make the games better and we can upvote to agree. I think if this is done right we could really help the developers understand what we want.

Had a question on woodlands about outfits (costumes)

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 05:58 PM PST

So if I buy let's say a rainbow 6 siege outfit will I get to change stuff about it? Like is it stuck like that? Like if I buy twitch or lion can I give them a helmet or a new torso? I really just want legs where the boots go over the pants but only costumes have that but I don't wanna spend money then be stuck like that.thanks!

    New(?) Camo options in Wildlands

What about a PvP mode where one player is hunted by others

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 07:08 PM PST

    How about it?

The whole island is the map. Intel gathered by hunters gives you an area where the lone wolf is located at that time. The more intel you gather the smaller the possible area is.

The Lone wolf gathers intel to get some indication of how close the pursuers are.

Basically the intel works similar to how it did in Mercenaries mode in Wildlands.

Vehicles are unavailable. Hunters can use Bivoacs to fast travel to the lone wolfs vicinity. Then it all takes place on foot. No respawn.

I think this would be a great game mode.

    Vehicle Shooting Changes Mockup

    Posted: 09 Jan 2020 10:16 AM PST

    Vehicle Shooting Changes Mockup

Shooting from vehicles is tough (though not impossible) for two reasons:

    1. The camera is too close
    2. The camera is unstable (it tilts with the vehicle making it harder to aim)

I propose to pull the camera back a bit and make the axis relative to the world rather than the player/car, similar to the Halo games.

Too close to comfortably aim at high speeds

Changed: Camera zoomed out for better visability.

Aiming down sights automatically takes you into first person, so I figured the aiming should be farther like when you're hipfiring. Having the camera that close works on foot, less so when you're in a fast moving car.

It gets even harder to aim when on an incline (or when your friend won't stop swerving and crashing. You know who you are)

The camera axis remains relative to the player

Changed: Zoomed out and the axis is now relative to the world

Keeping the axis relative to the world instead of the player/car keeps the camera stable and keeps aiming smooth. Same thing with turrets:

    Zoomed out and stabilized

Halo comparison. Zoomed out and the axis is relative to the world.

Another Halo comparison. This time over the shoulder like in GR.

Much easier to aim with turrets/from vehicles in Halo compared to Ghost Recon.

This QoL change will make vehicular combat more fun and engaging for the player (because you can actually hit things and see what's around you).
