How about a future soldier event or add them to the battle rewards in later seasons

(correction to the previous post) How many of you would like to see a full-auto LVOA, and be able to create it in gunsmith?

They should do a R6 event so we could get some of the operators as figures or add the later down the road to the battle rewards

Instead of more variants of weapons already in-game, why can’t we just improve the gunsmith in Breakpoint and build them from there?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 03:28 PM PST

Hey y'all. What I'm going to say is absolutely nothing new, a fairly popular opinion I've seen across this sub, and something I've also already explained. Basically what I'm saying is why have a weapon like the M4A1 that's already in game, and then request for a MK18 or a LVOA-C to be added which are literally variants of the exact same weapon?

Wouldn't it make sense for the gunsmith to be improved so you can just turn the M4A1 into a MK18, or a M4 Block II (very similar to the LVOA-C and is actually used in real life). Put back stock and barrel customization (Meaning you can make a 14.5 inch barrel 10 inches for a MK18), and to build upon that also add the ability to change rails?

Swap the standard RIS for the M4A1 to let's say a Daniel Defense rail, keep the 14.5 inch barrel, and there you go, it's now an M4 Block II. If you also have stock customization returning as well, you can change the standard M4 stock into something like a Magpul CTR (which is like the most universally used stock on AR-15s IRL), and is just icing on the cake.

All of these changes to the gunsmith in general would be so much smarter and efficient, as there wouldn't be a dozen different versions of the same weapon no ones going to use, and it would ultimately allow much more individual freedom for players. Not to mention if Ubi still wants to do the loot thing (which I'm strongly against but I have to be realistic), they can make things like stocks, barrels, and rails be able to be looted in game.

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Lemme hear your thoughts.

Remove gear score system from Breakpoint now!

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 12:09 PM PST

The Gear Score system definitely feels weird in a Ghost Recon game. Maybe it's because I already had gotten used to the GS systems in Division 1 and 2, I had no problem adapting to the GS system in Breakpoint at all. However, I do agree the GS system should have NEVER been a part of Breakpoint or any game, for that matter.

GS system gives people something to play with. What it also can do is forcing players to focusing more on farming more weapons and equipment with higher GS than immersing themselves in the story of a game. It doesn't help that Breakpoint's storyline feels thin and weak. A superficial and small scale implementation of GS system helps but a large-scale and profound one like the one in Breakpoint does way more harm than good.

I think GS and open world elements of Breakpoint speaks to a bigger problem: Every franchise Ubisoft own, such as Far Cry, The Division, Assassin's Creed and of course Ghost Recon, starts to look more and more similar to each other, which is bad and sad. They are assimilating. I love the uniqueness each and every game and franchise has to offer and enjoy it very much. They don't need to all have open world setting. To me, it signifies that Ubisoft is either getting so lazy and arrogant that they don't even bother trying to be a little creative or actually coming close to running out of creativeness.

    Rail attachments rebalance.

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 03:25 PM PST

The rail attachments in my opinion are not very exciting in Breakpoint, when you have the option, tha MAWL and APTIAL laser is the best almost every time, with the Rangefimder being very weak. Here is a suggested rebalance for the APTIAL, PEQ 15, MAWL and Rangefinder. The reason the PEQ has 4 pros is that the hipfire things are not too powerful on their own, so having accuracy and recoil for hipfire makes it into more of a solid buff.

Rangefinder: Pros: +20% range; -15% sway; -15% shot spread. Cons: -9% time to aim.

Aptialx3: Pros: +7% time to aim; -9% shot spread; - 10% vertical recoil.

MAWL: Pros: +10% range; -12% horizontal recoil; -10% shot spread.

PEQ 15: Pros: -35% hipfire recoil; +25% hipfire accuracy; -12% time to aim; +10% aim movement speed.

    Why Breakpoint disappoints (personal opinion)

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 03:19 AM PST

    1. Soulless

A big contrast from Wildlands, there just doesn't seem to be any soul to the world of Auroa. In Wildlands, there was a big civilian population, clearly affected by the atrocious Santa Blanca sicarios. It also made the whole scenario more believable. In Breakpoint, everything's just so hard to believe, and all the characters just seem so emotionless.

    1. Decision makers thinking "If it works in the division, it'll work in Ghost Recon"

Another big turn off for me is the loot. When i blast a dude, i want to be able to pick up his weapon if my personal weapon is running dry. They took this away by adding random loot, which honestly should all be available from the start, like in Wildlands. It was so disappointing first time i played breakpoint, and took out a sentinel to get his weapon, ended up picking up some stupid shoes instead.

    1. Gunsmith

Seriously, you revolutionized weapon customization with Future Soldier, yet somehow, you've managed to downgrade it more with every installment after. How and Why are my biggest questions. In Wildlands, you could still customize your weapon to be mission specific, but in breakpoint, it's like you completely ignored the power gunsmith used to have. One could literally invest hours just making a rifle personal and mission specific, yet you decided to take away the ability to change the most important parts. Not impressed

    1. Gear score

This shouldn't matter at all, and honestly shouldn't be part of Ghost Recon at all.

    1. Drones/Robots

Don't think i have to say much more.

Just picked up Breakpoint on sale. What do you guys do to make your own fun with what Ubisoft gave us?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 03:23 PM PST

In Wildlands I turned off enemy and objective markers to make it so the game didn't play itself so much, though I left the mini-map on since things could get a bit too chaotic at times.

What are some things you've been doing to improve your experience with Breakpoint?
