The level of detail I wish we could've had in ghost recon. Also this equipment I am using is free, you buy the game for 60 then download whatever you want on top of it. Created by the community, for the community.

Ubisoft did so much right with Breakpoint, but here are some things that don't make sense

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:07 PM PST

It was cool that you could change every aspect of your character AFTER you made them in Wildlands, but in Breakpoint you can't even change their hair colour, and for what good reason? I can't think of one.

I can put the ACOG on my AK-12 but not my M4A1? What the heck?

The movement is supposed to require a more cautious approach, but a lot of the time my character just sanics back and forth when I'm trying to make him do something basic. Admittedly it results in a moment of comedy for me, but when you're being shot at in an engagement it's not quite as amusing.

You always have to shoot those heavy dudes in the head twice even with a TAC-50.

A lot of the artificial lighting in the game cannot be shot to turn them off. Why? I like finding a generator and making a whole compound descend into darkness, but what the frig are those light bulbs made of?

Bullets seem to be more effective than M320 grenade launcher shells against most drones. Wat.

I like that you unlock clothing camos in certain areas (from what I understand), but otherwise I feel a little bit stifled in terms of customisation. And just as an aside, I feel pretty fucked over about the fact that I unlocked so many cosmetics in Wildlands, and ubisoft didn't even have the decency to carry them forward as already unlocked, let alone put them in the game in the first place.

Where is the P416? Sergeant Lieutenant Josiah Hill has one, but it just isn't in the game? I like the H&K 416, but I mained the P416 and I'm really missing it in Breakpoint. Just in a general there are all types of weapons we are missing from Wildlands.

Just to reiterate - I love this game so far, and I've had some awesome moments on this awesome map in this awesome setting, but I've had so many "WHY!?!?!" moments.

And where are the Crye Combat Shirts 1 & 2? I get that stuff gets unlocked for the cosmetic menu as we find them, but I'm filled with all sorts of uncertainties and frustrations regarding character customisation.

Has anyone else had these kinds of thoughts about Breakpoint?

Ubisoft needs to open up Ghost Recon to mod support and allow the community to create interesting features for the game. I know this might not work for consoles but even good mods can be pulled into the next iteration of Ghost Recon

I always found that helmets and every piece of tac gear in both wildlands and breakpoint lack detail, for example the ach helmet is pretty blank in comparison of an sf operator would have his mich 2000 setup like the picture i posted it has weathering and has accesories you'd need on an operation

Reddit vs the average Joe employee just doing his job at Ubisoft. I'm not defending the game, just the guy or girl working at their desk.

This is a mod for arma 3 that adds high amounts of accessibility and immersion, its be nice if we had some of these elements in a AAA Game title with a massive budget behind it.

How to Make NVG Effective (All Platforms)

How to Make NVG Effective (All Platforms)

You may have noticed Ghost Recon Breakpoint can be very underwhelming in certain aspect of it's game play. One of these aspects that stand out is the severe lack of importance the nvg hold. Useless during the day, and pointless during the night the nvg are a serious disappointment. However if you adjust your image calibration setting according to this post you can find night vision to at the very least be necessary during night time operations:

Adjust your brightness and contrast going down 1% for brightness and up 1% for contrast until the skull on the left is barely visible. You'll know you've reached the sweet spot when the skull is invisible. Then just back step 1% for each. Do not touch Contrast again.

Now adjust your gamma to be 50% minus the difference between you brightness and contrast. (E.g. brightness: 45, contrast: 55, gamma: 40)

Now in a location with lots of moonlight and shadows, adjust your brightness and gamma to go down 1%, exit the menu and make sure shadows in moonlight are or are next to pure black, use multiple shadows as reference. Continue the pattern until you've reached a point where shadows cast by moonlight are pitch black.

    My personal setting:

    Brightness: 41

    Contrast: 57

    Gamma: 34
