An extra special sarcastic thanks to the jerkoff that designed the Media Luna district in Wildlands.

You know what players would really love? If we made an extremely small district that has two three resource raids two with a giant chopper and one plane. Then we make sure that literally every inch of that same district is covered by SAM sites that respawn if you go more then one kilometer away from them. Yeah literally faster and at less distance then troops respawn. Then what will do is put three more SAM sites in a perfect triangle around the drop off site that are just far enough away from each other that should the player decide to land what they are flying to blow them up there will always be at least one active site. Yeah players will love that.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

    Wildlands: No Backpack option

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 06:15 PM PST

Is there an option that I just haven't seen to remove the backpack and primary weapons in TCGR: Wildlands?

"By restarting a mission you will reload the game world"

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 11:37 AM PST

What does this mean. I went back to Breakpoint after buying and beating Wildlands and realized that I missed some faction missions as well as the Terminator missions. Whenever I got to the mission section and try to play a faction or terminator mission, this pops up. Can someone elaborate what this means? I feel like I'm overthinking it.

    The truth is out there...

It feels as though Breakpoint was SUPPOSED to be something entirely different than what we got, from much deeper level. They touted an immersive, gritty, spec ops experience. The mechanics of eating, drinking, hunting, collecting flora and fauna are in there (obviously imported from previous Ubi titles) with the premise that these things would be improved upon in a military style survival sim. What I mean is, everything is there, right now at the very barest foundation of what it was finally supposed to be. It seems that:

    A) They weren't sure how to properly do it, or realized too late they couldnt do it, and instead, because of the release date, gave us a watered down, re-hashed, hand me down version of "what worked" in other Ubi titles in some emergency, last ditch attempt to stave us off while they intended to update it as a GaaS. No doubt, a desperate plan that would knowingly piss off their fanbase.

    B) Perhaps there was some internal friction ala the Konami/Kojima thing where the decision makers clashed with the devs...money prioritized over creativity, which caused the game to just be an ugly conglomeration of "all the mechanics that made us money before." Or money being taken away from Breakpoint to funnel into R6, Division 2 since those are money makers/esports. Yes, I realize they're developed by a different branch of Ubisoft, but the bank account is virtually the same. I guess I just find it so difficult to believe that after beefing up Wildlands to the success it became and all the resulting positive player feedback that any dev working on Breakpoint as it neared release thought "Yeah, this is in every way better than Wildlands and exactly the gritty, immersive spec op experience we envisioned!" Add to that the lack of all response. You KNOW people are either scared of management or signed one hell of an NDA....

    C) This dev team is straight out of college and was tasked to create a major AAA title...?

    D) Their intention was actually to create a lackluster Ghost Recon game merely as a quick cash scheme to filter into upcoming major games (R6 Quarantine, Far Cry, AC).

    More Bugs Than Before?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 09:38 AM PST

Just want to see if anyone can corroborate what I seem to be experiencing lately--

I've had BP on the shelf since early November for a number of relevant and irrelevant reasons. I recently started up again as the "big" update was nearing - obviously that is on hold - and have been slowly clearing the map of side missions/collectibles for fun. I browse this sub every now and then and see a near-constant stream of videos/written complaints about odd bugs that I never seemed to experience in the hundred or so hours I played when the game was first released. Now though, I am myself experiencing these instances far more often. Is there a legitimate reason for this? How can I go months with *relatively* normal play only to have my chopper now explode every other time I exit a bivouac?? Just one example, but for me the most frustrating right now. Random luck or something else?

Side note for those that wish to contribute: What 2-3 weapons are your go-to's and why?

Mine - 416 Scout (all-around when traveling on foot), MPX (close quarters), Tac50 (obviously)
