    Greetings Ghosts,

    We are happy to announce that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be playable on the next generation of consoles. With our next-gen backwards compatibility, players will also be able to enjoy an enhanced Ghost Recon Breakpoint experience!

    With the release of our latest Title Update, TU303, the game will be ready for the next generation of console gaming.

    Next-Gen consoles and performance

    At the launch of next-gen consoles, players will instantly be able to enjoy the graphical enhancements that Ghost Recon Breakpoint has to offer, with multiple options for prioritizing either performance or resolution:

    Console Xbox Series X PlayStation 5
    Performance Mode 1080P at 60 FPS 1080P at 60 FPS
    Resolution Mode 4K at 30 FPS 4K at 30 FPS (upscaled 4K)

    Xbox Series S will run the game in 1440P at 30FPS at all times.

    Easily Transition to Next-Gen and Keep your Progression

    If you currently own a copy of Ghost Recon Breakpoint on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, your profile including all purchases and inventory items will automatically be accessible on the corresponding next-gen console (PS4 with PS5 / Xbox One with Xbox Series X|S).

    With the new Darkest Nights overhaul update something like flashlights would be really cool, improved NVGs would also be greatly appreciated, since the current ones leave much to be desired. Also it would be cool to be able to actually see the player character with their NVGs on in screenshot mode. Being able to have NVGs on as cosmetic only (no NVG filter) would also be cool (mostly for screenshots)

    Breakpoint could reach its original promise with a World Modifier that increases Sentinel's ground presence in the wilderness.

    The new update was a big step in the right direction, but most of Auroa is still extremely lacking in enemy density. Traversing the wilderness generally still feels like a casual island stroll.

    If Sentinel had larger, more frequent ground patrols out in the wilderness, Breakpoint could deliver on its original promise of feeling truly hunted behind enemy lines. And as long as it's toggleable, players who want a more laid-back experience won't have to deal with it.

    That feeling of being hunted: The one thing still missing and how to fix it -- Add the Unidad star/threat system to the Wolves.

    While we've seen a number of great improvements to the game over this past year, the one thing that is still missing from the original trailer is that feeling of being hunted, and having to fall back, hide, and disengage to try and survive.

    In Wildlands, there were the Santa Blanca gang members, and a higher tier of enemy, the Unidad. They were like Bolivia's (private?) army. The more you messed with Unidad (like attacking one of their bases), and the more Unidad you killed, the higher your 'threat' level would go, from 1 to 5 stars (similar to GTA). By the 5th star, the Unidad was throwing everything at you.

    Apparently there were complaints about the Unidad system, but I think removing this system from Breakpoint really hurt the idea that you aren't invincible, and sometimes you need to run.

    I'm hoping we will see some kind of mechanic like this return, and I was thinking they could just use the Wolf symbol, and have 5 icons in the top right.

    The actual mechanics for being hunted are already in the game -- the Wolves will go looking for you, and Azrael drones will spawn Wolves on you. With the recent addition of Red Patriot, we have boss mechanics where they will increasingly hunt you and spawn enemies. I think this could potential be reworked into the threat system.

    This would result in a careful balance when attacking bases, and if players want, they can find themselves in scenarios where they must run, fight, and fall back, creating those epic moments from the trailer where you just need to get some distance and find a tree to use a bandage.
