    PC GAMER ARTICLE

    Like Uplay, Ubisoft Connect is free and will be accessible via your Ubisoft account. It will offer a rewards program, similar to what's available now through Uplay, with XP and levels earned by playing Ubisoft games, and "Units" that can be used to purchase in-game items. Existing Club Units and XP will be brought over into Ubisoft Connect, but not all games will be; the good news, though, is that Ubisoft is giving away all the rewards from older games that won't have active challenge systems.     The most notable change is the introduction of crossplay and cross-progression in "select games," meaning that players on PC and consoles will be able to play together, and saved data will carry over from one platform to another—so if you're playing on PlayStation 5, for instance, you can switch over to PC and pick up where you left off. Cross-progression will be supported in Watch Dogs Legion, Hyper Scape, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Riders Republic, and Ubisoft said it aims to bring the feature to "most" of its games that support multiplayer.

    CHANGES TO UBISOFT CLUB AND UPLAY PC

    What changes will happen to Ubisoft Club and Uplay PC?

    Ubisoft Club and Uplay PC will become Ubisoft Connect on 27 October 2020.

    In the period between 21 October 2020 and 27 October 2020 we will be performing the necessary changes for the transition. Rewards will be temporarily unavailable in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Rainbow Six: Siege and Steep.

    We will also UNLOCK ALL REWARDS for older Ubisoft titles that will not fully TRANSITION to Ubisoft Connect. Between 26 October 2020 and 27 October 2020 there will be a maintenance to UPDATE THE UPLAY PC CLIENT and Ubisoft Club services to Ubisoft Connect and our webpages with the new Ubisoft Connect branding.

    TRANSITIONING GAMES will benefit from the improved Loyalty program and meta progression, new Core and Time-Limited Challenges, Smart Intel, (when available) as well as the new Ubisoft Connect interface. After the maintenance the new Core Challenges will be enabled for For Honor, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Hyper Scape, The Division 2 and Steep. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Rainbow Six: Siege will support them after a future update.

    The new Time-Limited challenges will be available for Hyper Scape, Steep, The Division 2 and Rainbow Six: Siege. For Honor will introduce them with a later update.

    Your Units, XP and levels from the Ubisoft Club will be carried over to Ubisoft Connect.

    Games that will transition to support UBISOFT CONNECT:

    • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
    • Tom Clancy's The Division 2

    Ubisoft Connect will be included in all major upcoming Ubisoft games with Watch Dogs: Legion being the first to use its features.

    Please note that Ubisoft Connect will not be available in Just Dance 21.

    Which games will not change over to Ubisoft Connect?

    Some of our older games are no longer patched and have not transitioned to UBISOFT CONNECT and will still have Ubisoft Club branding even after the release of Ubisoft Connect.For these games we have unlocked all the Ubisoft Club rewards for free! You will see notifications for the unlocks when you start your game. The classic challenges have been disabled and will not be visible in Ubisoft Connect. You will still be able to see your stats and the leaderbords for these games in Ubisoft Connect.

    We should all be helping eachother unlock these cosmetics, from now on if I encounter a player that needs to stun me 3 times so they can unlock an achievement then thats what I'm doing. This us the way we show ubi that we control what happens.
